Quiz the Coach :: Getting Into Sports

My BFF, Jackie, is super sporty. She loves to play baseball and basketball and watches our local hockey team, “the Sharks”. So anyway, a lotta times she talks to the boys about her latest baseball game, while I'm left out barely knowing what a home run is. Or they talk about basketball and I'm later asking what a hook shot is (I just recently found out what an air ball is). And to make things even harder there's this boy in my class who never misses a sports game.
PS. Today I heard about some Bonds baseball player, who's he?

Bewilderd about Baseball

Barry Bonds is a baseball player who plays for the San Francisco Giants. You can find out all about baseball online. It is the most popular sport in the USA and almost every sports website has tons of information about it.

A lot of people don’t find sports interesting at all, and you might be one of those people. This is only natural. If you watch a baseball game and find that it’s boring and that you are not motivated to learn about it, you are not alone. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. If your friends are interested in sports, you should be open-minded to try and learn about what they find fun and exciting. It’s possible by learning more about a sport, that one day you will genuinely find it interesting too.

Watch and Learn

Some people find certain sports more interesting than others. Personally I find that the more you take the time to watch and learn about anything, the better the chance you will really enjoy it. By watching a sport more and more, you will learn about the players and their personal lives, which adds drama to the game and makes things more interesting.

Extra Extra, Sports are Fun!

Go to the games, watch them on TV, watch the highlights on the news, read about the local teams in the newspaper. Sports is the most easy subject to follow with today’s media. Every game is analyzed to death and you should have an easy time finding information online about any questions you have about sports.

Put me in Coach, I’m ready to play!

Get involved and go out and play. The best way to get into sports is to actually start playing them on a regular basis. If you play baseball, you are going to understand how to follow the professional teams much easier and the whole experience will become much more fulfilled.

CHEERLEADING IS LIKE DANCE GYMNASTICS MIXED TOGETHER WITH WORDS. AND DANCE AND GYMNASTICS ARE CONSIDERED SPORTS.
