1Hey Coach,
How do I do a heelflip on my skateboard?
mrmidget

Hey mrmidget,
Mastering heelflips and kickflips takes hours of practice, so don't get discouraged if you don't pick them up right away. Before trying either a heelflip or a kickflip, you should have your ollie down pretty good.

Place your feet in exactly the same position as you would while doing an ollie - with one foot in the middle of the board and the other foot at the kick of the board. When you drag your foot up the board, drag your front foot over the board and up towards the nose. This should cause the board to flip and even out so you can catch the board with your back foot and ride away.

This is much easier said than done and as I said, it takes hours of practice, so have fun and don't get frustrated. For a video demo of how to do a heelflip and other skateboard tricks, click here.

Do you have a question on sports, P.E. class, rules to sports, fitness or health? to the Kidzworld Coach. Keep in mind peeps, the Kidzworld Coach isn't a doctor or a professional athlete or anything like that. He's just a dude who digs sports, plays 'em and knows a lot about 'em. You should always talk to your 'rents, a doctor or your school gym teacher before starting a new sport or a new exercise.
