Nike’s Awesome World Cup Ad

Sports brand Nike has released its full three-minute-long TV ad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (that’s soccer, for those of you who don’t know) – and it is AMAZING!

Fantastic Footballers

The ad features a whole bunch of superstar footballers (that’s soccer players, for those of you who don’t know) like:

  • Didier Drogba
  • Wayne Rooney
  • Fabio Cannavaro
  • Ronald Hino
  • Cristiano Ronaldo

It even has cameo appearances by other sports stars and celebs:

Fantastic Film

The ad actually plays out like a short film (it’s three minutes long in total). The story follows a soccer match featuring all of the players we mentioned above. It shows how one GREAT move can lead to a future of crazy success and superstardom that includes statues in your honor and guest appearances on hit shows like The Simpsons. On the other hand, the ad shows how one BAD move can land you with a beer gut watching TV on the couch.

Fantastic Future

It all ties in to Nike’s new Write the Future campaign, which is all about how YOU are in control of your own destiny (meaning, the direction your life goes). But enough talking. Watch the ad and … enjoy!

It's definitely an American thing - here in Australia we have like no Cheerleaders or Cheerleading groups. I think it's a sport but I'm not really into it. I think any girls or boys can do it. :3

Sure, many girls can fight, in fact some can fight really well, however it is a fact that women are generally physically weaker than men, which means that if a healthy male and a healthy female were to fight then the outcome wouldn't be 50/50 but rather 25/75 if even that much, this assumes that both the male and female have the same experience, training and of course both are healthy. This doesn't mean that women are inferior to men, but I am just pointing out facts, the notion that men and women are exactly the same and should be carrying out the same tasks is ridiculous.
