Shiloh Bio

Jul 10, 2018

Teen pop punk singer songwriter Shiloh surprised audiences with her 2008 Album Picture Imperfect, and now she’s taking the world by storm with her emotional new single “Can’t Hold On” and a new album to follow.

Northern Touch

Born April 25th 1993 this spunky 17-year-old comes from Abbotsford, British Columbia in Canada, the same place rock band Nickelback formed, but grew up in several places across Canada including chilly Edmonton and Saskatchewan.

Making Radio Waves

When she was first getting started the feisty teen entered many radio competitions, and eventually won one in Edmonton, Alberta at The Bounce 91.7, after making a splash on air she travelled to Vancouver B.C. to start working with producers making songs.

A Perfect Picture

The songs she was recording were all to go on her debut album Picture Imperfect which came out in 2008, the first single “(Operator) A Girl Like Me,” catching listeners with its infectious pop sound, followed by the cheeky single “Goodbye You Suck” and “Alright.”

A Song is Born

Even though Shiloh’s fun sound is often described as emo, pop, rock or punk, she claims some of her major influences are the King of Pop Michael Jackson, and the Diva of Ballads Celine Dion and classic crooner Frank Sinatra. On her latest tour she performed “Man in the Mirror” from Michael Jackson’s album Bad.

Singing with the Stars

As her fame has grown Shiloh has been playing alongside bigger and bigger acts on tour, such as rockers Mariana’s Trench, pop icon Lady Gaga, Stereos, and hard rockers Theory of a Deadman. She’s also had her songs featured in a variety of TV shows like Gossip Girl.

Her new single “Can’t Hold On” is a more emotional song than her previous record, and we can look forward to whole album of new material and insights from spunky pop rocker in the coming year.
