Fashion Police :: 2002 Emmy Awards
Okay, some people are just born with style, while others have to work at it. Then there are those who - born with it or not - make enough loot that they should be able to buy a little style. Celebrities are always in front of the camera so you'd think they'd know enough to wear something that'll make people dig 'em even more - not throw them out the door. People like Avril Lavigne, Justin Timberlake and Jennifer Aniston make tons of cash, so even if they don't know the difference between a very cool lookin' top and a fashion disaster, they can pay someone who does. So why is it that celebrities can get caught in some big-time fashion felonies? This is your chance to be the fashion police and arrest the suspects you think need to be slagged for wearing an offensive outfit.
Kidzworld's Fashion Police gave out some tickets as well as some citations for good fashion attempts at the 2002 Primetime Emmy Awards. Here's who we think should have won an award for best dressed, and who should have been hauled off to fashion prison. Check it out...

Paula Abdul - This American Idol judge may be able to spot talent, but she's pretty lousy at picking out her own clothes. This dress is crazy. It's got too many cut-outs in too many places and is a little over-the-top. Paula Abdul is still dressing like she did when her own albums were hits in the '80s. Maybe Paula should consult Kelly Clarkson for some modern-day fashion advice.
Courtney Cox Arquette - We're not exactly sure what kind of statement this dress is trying to make. It resembles an old-fashioned slip and seems like it was sized for Courtney when she was wearing Monica Gellar's fat suit. It's definitely too big, too baggy and too blah. Maybe next time, Courtney Cox Arquette can call her Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow for style advice - or maybe borrow their stylists.

Debra Messing - Grace, from Will and Grace makes the Kidzworld Fashion Police very happy. You'll see no handcuff marks on her! This dress, unlike Paula Abdul's, has just enough skin showing in all the right places. Debra Messing's trendy chandelier earings and her pretty red hair are also perfect. Way to go Grace!
Oprah Winfrey - The daytime talk show diva looked svelt and timeless in this funky ballgown. Her stylish clothing choice proved that Oprah's not just a humanitarian, she's a fashion police hero too!
