Life Unexpected’s Britt Roberston returns to The CW in the new series The Secret Circle, where she must deal with her newfound magical powers as a witch. Read Kidzworld’s fall TV preview for all the details.
The unexpected death of her mother sends Cassie Blake (Britt Roberston) to Chance Harbor – her mother’s hometown –to live with her grandmother. She starts school and immediately makes friends with Dianna (Shelley Hennig), Adam (Thomas Dekker), Nick, Faye and Melissa. Things go swimmingly until they reveal to Cassie that they have all descended from a line of powerful witches. Now that Cassie has come to Chance Harbor they can band together to form a complete secret circle. Obviously, Cassie is skeptical. But, she begins to change her mind when Adam helps her unlock her powers. Turns out, Cassie’s mother was also a witch and left a journal of spells. Now that the circle has been completed, what will they have to face? What evils might they come across? Only time will tell. Based upon the book by L.J. Smith.
Britt Robertson headlines the show as Cassie Blake, a California teenager whose life gets turned upside down when her mother dies. Forced to deal with newfound powers, Cassie must decide whether to use her powers for good or evil. Who can she trust? Britt Robertson was the star of The CW’s Life Unexpected, which was cancelled last season, and has appeared in the movies Dan in Real Life and Scream 4.
Thomas Dekker stars as Adam, the guy who helps Cassie understand and unlock her magical powers. Will there be romance between the two? Although he is linked to Diana, we think there might be love in the air. Thomas Dekker was previously in Heroes and the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Shelley Hennig plays Dianna, Adam’s girlfriend. Will Cassie get in the way of her relationship with Adam, or will they group together to overcome evil? Shelley Hennig appeared in Days of our Lives and was Miss Teen USA in 2004.
