Trine 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic!

Dec 19, 2011

Hurray, it's winter break! It seems that game developers are on a bit of a break themselves as game releases really slow down this week. However, the two games that we'll be looking at today are EPIC! This week, we preview Trine 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Trine 2

Trine 2 is more than just a beautiful game. It is the sequel to the well-received Trine that came out a couple of years ago. Trine 2 continues the story of Zoya the Thief, Pontius the Knight, and Amadeus the Wizard. The three had their souls binded together by the ancient artifact known as Trine and only one of them could exist in the world at a time. While each character has their own health and energy meter, you will earn experience for all characters at the same time and can buy upgrades for any character. Trine 2 brings along an improved co-op mode so that you can play this awesome side-scrolling puzzle/platformer with your friends locally or online!

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Are you a big Star Wars fan? Thank goodness it's winter break because you'll be playing this massively multiplayer online RPG all the time! Star Wars: The Old Republic is the long-time anticipated Star Wars experience. Set 3,500 years before the Star Wars movies, you can choose to join the newly established Galactic Republic as a soldier or Jedi or join the collapsing Sith Empire and try to channel the Dark Side to keep the Empire going. The Old Republic has a huge focus on story and player choices will greatly affect the storyline as well as non-player characters in the universe. If you're a Star Wars fan, you can't miss this!
