Pretty Little Liars: Season 2, Episode 15:: A Hot Piece of A

Jan 10, 2012

This week on Pretty Little Liars (Season 2, Episode 15), Hanna gets into trouble on the lake. Read Kidzworld’s recap of “A Hot Piece of A”, which aired January 9, 2012, to discover what you missed.

Secret Cell

After finding A’s cellphone last episode, the girls realize they can’t access it. They ask Caleb if he can help them hack the phone. Unfortunately, they don’t discover much. Caleb and Hanna get into a fight because Caleb thinks she is hiding something from him, and wants to know what it is.

Rowboat Trouble

Emily is finishing up her required community service by volunteering at a crisis hotline. While she’s working she takes a call from Lucas, who is at the greenhouse. He says he is planning something he wishes he could get out of. When Emily asks if he is planning to commit suicide he says he isn’t going to hurt himself, but someone else. Turns out, that person is Hanna. He takes her out in a rowboat with the intention of killing her. Luckily, Hanna gets out alive…but we’re not so sure about Lucas.

Secrets

Aria and Ezra are both feeling the effects of making their relationship public. Aria’s parents are not pleased. They ground her and tell her she cannot talk to or see Ezra. Meanwhile, Aria’s dad pays Ezra a visit and threatens to call the police on him for sleeping with a student. But, Ezra and Aria are determined to be together and make plans to meet-up secretly. Will Aria’s parents find out?

Many of the reviews and critics say it's bad because they are only looking at it from 'comic to movie' perspective. It was still a really cool movie and you should go see it. I'd have to agree with this. The movie itself was great. I think some people looked at it poorly because they were expecting something more similar to the older films or comparing it too hard to the comics. I personally think that it was a great way to reinvent some of the characters.

"It's so hard to talk when you want to k-ll yourself. That's above and beyond everything else, and it's not a mental complaint-it's a physical thing, like it's physically hard to open your mouth and make the words come out. They don't come out smooth and in conjunction with your brain the way normal people's words do; they come out in chunks as if from a crushed-ice dispenser; you stumble on them as they gather behind your lower lip. So you just keep quiet.” Ned Vizzini, "It's Kind of a Funny Story"

“Isn't there something in living dangerously?' There's a great deal in it,' the Controller replied. 'Men and women must have their adrenals stimulated from time to time.' What?' questioned the Savage, uncomprehending. It's one of the conditions of perfect health. That's why we've made the V.P.S. treatments compulsory.' V.P.S.?' Violent Passion Surrogate. Regularly once a month. We flood the whole system with adrenin. It's the complete physiological equivalent of fear and rage. All the tonic effects of murdering Desdemona and being murdered by Othello, without any of the inconvenience.' But I like the inconveniences.' We don't,' said the Controller. 'We prefer to do things comfortably.' But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.' In fact,' said Mustapha Mond, 'you're claiming the right to be unhappy. Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent; the right to have ######## and cancer, the right to have too little to eat; the right to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may happen tomorrow; the right to catch typhoid; the right to be tortured by unspeakable pains of every kind.' There was a long silence. I claim them all,' said the Savage at last. Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. 'You're welcome,' he said.”
