Gossip Girl: Season 5, Episode 12 :: Father of the Bride

The Bachelorette Party
Blair wants a low-key bachelorette party, one that will suit her soon-to-be-royal lifestyle. But the backstabbing Princess Beatrice has other plans. She works with the Grimaldi family priest to make Blair’s bachelorette party a little more entertaining. She gets her drunk, arms her with marijuana and plants a pair of cops nearby, ultimately landing Blair in prison. Even though Blair suspects her of manipulation, Beatrice turns it around, blaming the situation on Chuck.

Meanwhile, Serena is starting to develop feelings for Dan. Maybe she doesn’t want their fake relationship to end just yet. Right before her “S by S” column is set to be published on the Spectator’s website, Nate decides to postpone the posting date. With a little snooping, Serena discovers that Nate’s been working under Gossip Girl’s direction to learn about why the car that Blair and Chuck almost died in was originally intended for Nate.
The Sequel
Dan’s publishers want him to write a second book. He has plenty of ideas, including a western or a futuristic Manhattan, but the editors at Simon & Schuster have other ideas. They want him to write a sequel to Inside.
Gossip Girl Fashion
The usually-fashionable Serena wears an eclectic mix of fabrics and colors - pieces that, on their own, might be okay, but together are horrendous. She wears a Marc by Marc Jacobs Quad Sweater, and a Haute Hippie Embellished mini skirt. The total cost of her outfit, including jacket, boots and satchel is a whopping $6,200! Yikes!

Blair’s looking rather blue, and it has nothing to do with her feelings for Chuck. She wears a Diane von Furstenberg Milford Alpaca coat, along with a Carolina Herrera Spring 2011 Organza dress.
