Hart of Dixie TV Show Facts

Hart of Dixie premiered on The CW in fall 2011.

The show centers around main character Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson), a new doctor who recently graduated from med school in New York. With a lack of jobs available in NYC, Zoe heads down to Alabama to work at a small private practice. She soon discovers that living down South may not be as fun as she thought. Zoe immediately causes trouble with Lemon (Jamie King), a Southern belle who is engaged to one of Zoe’s only allies in town, George (Scott Porter). With Lemon against her and George on her side Zoe must make friends with her attractive neighbor Wade (Wilson Bethel) and former football star Lavon (Cress Williams) if she is going to survive life in the Deep South.

Did You Know?

  • Zoe’s birthday is October 24, 1982
  • The title Hart of Dixie is a play on words – in Alabama, the phrase "Heart of Dixie" must appear on every car license plate.
  • In the show, the town’s local watering hole the Rammer Jammer is shot in the same location as Merlotte’s in True Blood
  • Lemon and Magnolia Breeland are both named after different types of trees
  • Josh Schwartz is the executive producer for the show. Previously, he worked with Rachel Bilson on the teen TV show The OC.
  • Rachel Bilson and Wilson Bethel were the first two stars cast for the show.

Here are my top 9 worst TV shows I have ever watched. 1. Breadwinners and Sanjay and Craig (tie) 2. Marvin Marvin 3.  Pickle and Peanut 4 Fred Figglehorn  5. Annoying Orange 6. Austin and Ally 7. Dog on a Blog 8. The Day My Butt Went Psycho (I'm not Canadian but it doesn't look like a good show) 9. Lab Rats  Basically every show that has a laugh track.  If you are looking for a good show, watch Doctor Who. No laugh tracks, humor is used properly, good storyline, DOESN'T take place in a school ALL OF THE TIME (well, it does in some episodes such as school reunion) The cast isn't full of teenagers and parents won't get so annoyed of the show. It's about a 900 year old time lord (who looks like a human) that travels in a TARDIS. He has 13 regenerations and almost always has a female companion with him. He is the last of his species so he's always lonely on Earth.

Plus he said MOST on cartoon Network. Not every show. I have to agree. There is better TV out there... Such as.... *takes deep breath* Doctor Who (Better than ALL of the trash they show on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and most cartoon network shows combined) Old spongebob (not the new spongebob episodes) Sherlock (hmmm I have never watched the show but i have heard it's awesome) I worship the BBC for making good things happen to the world.
