The world's biggest game expo, E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo,) wrapped up on May 15, 2003 after dishing all the latest news on the video games you love to play. Now, Gary's got the scoop on what's hot for the Playstation 2, Gamecube, Xbox, Gameboy Advance and PC. Check it out!

PS2 and Xbox Price Drop!

The biggest news is that Sony dropped the price for the Playstation 2 by $20 (US) to $179.99 (US,) $249.99 (CDN,) and Microsoft did the same thing to the Xbox! The reason for Sony's PS2 price drop is so they can clear out the current PS2s and, in June 2003, start selling the Network Bundle which is a PS2 with the Network Adaptor. Either way, it saves gamers some cash!

Gameboy Advance vs. the PlayStation Portable

Nintendo's GBA is the one and only king of the handheld world but it didn't have much going on at E3 2003. The biggest news is that Sony is stepping up to bat to compete for the title of 'King of the Handhelds' with their upcoming PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld game system. The PSP, which won't be out until the end of 2004, is loaded with a backlit screen, mini-CD games and you'll be able to plug it into your PC and PS2 for more cool features!

Quidditch World Cup Update

The lucky peeps at E3 were able to get their hands on an early version of Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup and take it for a spin. The word is that the controls are easy, the graphics are good and they're tweaking the rules of Quidditch to make it more fun as a video game. The hardest part will be waiting for it to be released!

Beyblade on the Gamecube

Beyblade is letting it rip on the Nintendo Gamecube sometime in 2003. The details are sketchy so far but it looks like a powered-up version of the original Playstation Beyblade game. It's awesome news for Beyblade fans!
