So ya dig sports but need some help with your game? Don't understand some of the rules of football, basketball or hockey? Got a gripe about P.E. class, skateboarders, cheerleading, coaches, or anything athletic? Why not ?

1Hey Coach,
At my school, we have cheerleaders and they look pretty stupid. They always try to do cartwheels when they don't know how, and build pyramids in front of the football players and then fall down. Why do cheerleaders think they're so special (like on Lizzy McGuire) and why are boys always wanting to get with them?

Hey *SkaterBoiGurl*

Be careful how you stereotype other kids. It's not fair to assume certain things about cheerleaders, punks, skaters or any other group without actually getting to know them first. Not all cheerleaders think they're "so special" and not all guys want to "get with them." It's true that many cheerleaders are snobby, brainless, bimbos - just like the cheerleaders you see in many movies and television shows. Many cheerleaders think they're "so special" because schools sometimes carry cheerleading squads in higher regard than they do other school groups like chess clubs or drama groups. Cheerleaders, much like members of the a school's football team, often get preferential treatment from teachers, coaches and principals. This doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen.

So what makes many guys want to "get with" cheerleaders? Well, many guys are easily brainwashed by the sight of a smiling girl jumping up and down in a short cheerleading skirt. It makes them forget the other qualities that make a girl worth "getting with" - like brains, and a sense of humor. But remember, not all guys are into cheerleaders and not all cheerleaders think they're special.

Do you need tips or advice on sports, fitness or health? to the Kidzworld Coach. Keep in mind peeps, the Kidzworld Coach isn't a doctor or a professional athlete or anything like that. He's just a dude who digs sports, plays 'em and knows a lot about 'em. You should always talk to your 'rents, a doctor or your school gym teacher before starting a new sport or a new exercise.

Cheerleading - Is it Really a Sport?

    • Yes, cheerleaders are better athletes than most football players.
    • No, it's just a pastime for brain-dead, snobby girls.
    • Of course it is
