Celebs are no strangers to the spotlight, but lately some of them have gained media attention for all the wrong reasons. The likes of Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan have all made headlines in the past few months due to run-ins with the law. Kidzworld has the 411 on what these superstars have been up to and what's going to happen to them.
Celebrity Arrests - Paris Hilton
2007 has been a rough year for Paris Hilton. After being arrested in September 2006 for drunk driving, Paris had her driver's license suspended - but she continued to drive. In January 2007, she was pulled over for driving without a license and again in February, when she was pulled over for not only driving without a license, but for speeding as well. This time around, prosecutors decided that Paris needed to be taught a lesson for breaking the law, and in May 2007, she was sentenced to 45 days in jail. Her stint in the clinker started at the beginning of June 2007 (after an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards) and has been a gong show from the start. Being locked up has not been easy for the ditzy, blonde heiress - she has bounced from solitary confinement, to a day of house arrest and back to jail again. Paris has confessed that jail has "changed her" and that when she's released, she's tossing the dumb-blonde act and dedicating her time to charity and responsible choices. Before she and Paris started their road to semi-legitimate fame with their FOX TV show, The Simple Life, Nicole Richie was charged with possession of heroin and for driving with a suspended license. This was somehow swept under the rug, but in December 2006, Richie caught headlines after another run-in with the law. Nicole was charged with driving under the influence after she reportedly entered a freeway exit ramp going the wrong way. Nicole admitted to using drugs before getting behind the wheel of her car and will face sentencing sometime in late June 2007. Does Nicole need to head to jail to learn her lesson or has the pics of Paris in her cement cell been enough to snap her out of her bad-girl behavior?Celebrity Arrests - Lindsay Lohan
Following the lead of her fellow Hollywood party-girls, Lindsay Lohan was arrested in May 2007 on suspicion of driving under the influence. Lindsay crashed her car into a curb - and then drove away. When police tracked her down at a local hospital, they found drugs in her car. Days later, Lindsay re-entered rehab (she had previously spent a month in rehab in January 2007).
