After a crazy year of Hollywood rumors and gossip, Kidzworld sits down to pick the juiciest celebrity scandals of 2004 - check them out!

Britney Gets Hitched

Britney Spears' first marriage, which only lasted 55 hours, ended in annulment. She went for it one more time by marrying her backup dancer, Kevin Federline, in September at a backyard wedding and reception that consisted of chicken fingers, ribs and a boombox. Shortly after, the newlyweds had to clear up rumors that their marriage was a sham and that Britney may be pregnant. We still haven't heard any news on whether she's preggers, but she's taken on step-mom duties to Kevin's two kids.

Mary-Kate Battles Eating Disorder

After months of denying rumors of anorexia, Mary-Kate Olsen checked into a treatment center for an eating disorder. Her drastic weight loss had attracted huge media attention while she and twin sis, Ashley, were promoting New York Minute, receiving a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and graduating from high school. MK blamed her weight loss on the stress of getting into university as well as the pressures to look perfect under the spotlight - she even poked fun of her low weight when the twins appeared on SNL. MK was discharged after six weeks in the clinic, but continues to seek counseling from an eating coach while she attends NYU.

Lindsay's Limelight

One of the biggest names this year was Lindsay Lohan. Rising to Hollywood fame after hits like Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, the redheaded teen queen quickly became a media target and battled tons of rumors, the biggest one being that she had gotten a boob job, which she continues to deny. She also defended her image when the media labelled her a party girl who went clubbing every night. She most recently made the headlines for hooking up with hunky Colin Farrell shortly after being dumped by Wilmer Valderrama, who plays Fez on That '70s Show.

Janet's Wardrobe Malfunction

Janet Jackson's Super Bowl spectacle gave birth to the term, "wardrobe malfunction." While performing Rock Your Body with Justin Timberlake during the half-time show, Justin reached up to rip off the breastplate of Janet's costume, exposing her right boob on national TV! Janet ran off the stage, but later apologized, saying she had problems with her wardrobe.

Ashlee Lip Synchs on SNL
Ashlee Simpson was caught lip synching during her performance on SNL in October. She was all set to debut her second single, Autobiography, when the track, Pieces Of Me, which she had "sung" earlier, began to play. After a few seconds, she did a silly jig before dancing off the stage while her band kept on playing. Ashlee blamed the incident on a severe case of acid reflux, and said her band played the wrong song. Riiiiight.

It included a lot of mature themes and it really connects with today's older youth. You mean violence wise? Not just that, but the show tells the stories of the characters finding themselves. Take Asami for example. A lot of people have a late relative and another relative involved in some kind of trouble. She had her relationships AND family business to take care of, which relates to some of today's youth who feel like they have the whole world on their shoulders. They're starting to have to take responsibility for things they can hardly manage, and seeing the triumph of a character like Asami is truly inspiring. Her mother's dead, her father's in prison, her boyfriend was stolen from her, and her business nearly failed. But she did not give up, which sends a positive message to today's generation of teens. Mako was not stolen from Asami he just chose Korra and everyone knows that thats what people wanted. As messed up as that sounds its the truth.
