Find out whether the Voodoo Vince video game for the Xbox console is a great gaming adventure or a bust!

Alright gang, here's the deal. Your mission? To save the world. The problem? You're six inches tall, made of burlap, and the only way to keep going is to take a beating. By that we mean explode, electrify, cut and literally crash the kitchen sink into yourself. Sound like fun? Then, Xbox's Voodoo Vince video game is just the mojo gumbo you've been looking for!

Voodoo Vince Video Game Jumpin' Jambalaya

The infamous Kosmo the Inscrutable has finally captured both Madame Charmaine (your master) and her all-powerful zombie powder, the kind of stuff that brings normal objects to life. During his escape, Kosmo dropped some of the powder bringing both Vince (a voodoo doll) and a bayou of baddies to life. From here it's up to you to run, jump, hover, solve and gather everything you're going to need to save Madame Charmaine.

Voodoo Vince Video Game Good Gumbo

Voodoo Vince is one of the funnier characters walking around the gaming universe, and the idea that he must inflict madcap damage to himself in order to survive is great. (We love the electro-magnetic madness. Look out, an anvil!) The game looks great, there's lots of detail everywhere, and it handles easily. Plus, the dialogue - from Vince to Kosmo - rocks!

Voodoo Vince Video Game Bad Juju

Voodoo Vince for Xbox isn't treading any new ground here. It's pretty much the same game we've been seeing for years. "I'm a lovable character; I have to get through a whole mess of obstacles, which get a little harder each time, gather the right things so I can beat the boss and morph to the next level." Another major bummer about the Voodoo Vince video game is, it's pretty short, which doesn't leave a lot of room for replay. And, as much as that Cajun soundtrack works, it's guaranteed to get on your nerves.

Voodoo Vince Video Game: The Bottom Line
Voodoo Vince is a great game if you're looking for fun and a good laugh without too many challenges. But, if your looking for something more, try I-Ninja.
