I got grounded. It sucks so bad! I only got a C on my math test (not a C+) so dad grounded me. I got really ticked off and yelled back at him - which is a big mistake in my house. Dad extended my grounding from one week to two. Go Simon! I was just so mad at him. I studied - really studied hard - for that stupid test! Miguel even did flash cards with me, but does dad take *that* into consideration? Nope.

Mom came home from work Saturday morning (after her nightshift at the hospital) and she flipped on dad for being so rough on me. That was cool, but then they didn't talk all weekend, which wasn't cool.

Anyway, today I have news which may make both mom and dad happy. We had to do this oral book report in English class - I picked a Lemony Snicket book - and I got a B+!!! Mrs. Englewood said she could tell I put a lot of effort in, and that I was a great public speaker! I wish all my assignments were oral presentations - I'd smoke 'em all. Sure there is a lot of research and memorizing involved, but it beats math and essay questions any day!

I gotta get off the computer now. Dad comes home from work any minute and I am not supposed to be on the computer unlesss it's "homework related." Besides, I wanna get a quick call in to my friend Ben and find out if Kara was at the skatepark after school. Last time I was there (pre-grounding), she told me I had a nice ollie. By the time I get to go again, she'll probably have forgotten all about me. Thanks dad!
