Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading
Card Game craze just won't quit. It invaded in a flash and now everyone, from your 'rents to the mailman, knows how much it
kicks butt. The latest dose of
collectible card
game power is the
Yu-Gi-Oh! Evolution
Yugi and Kaiba starter decks. They dropped in
February 2004 and Gary's got the 411 on what's up and how these decks will boost your
dueling power.
Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Evolution Starter Deck Facts
The Evolution starter decks are pre-constructed
50-card decks - one for
Yugi and one for
Kaiba. You'll get the same cards in each Yugi deck, ditto for each Kaiba deck, so you won't need more than one of each to
collect all the
cards. They're
totally legal for game play and are a sure-fire way to get your hands on some
power cards. Here's a breakdown of what each deck is about, so you'll know if they're worth picking up.
Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Yugi Evolution Starter Deck
Yami Yugi's starter deck gives you a ton of the
power cards that'll get your card game rockin'. The Evolution starter deck scores you a
Monster Reborn,
Change of Heart and a half-dozen of the big cards that make opponents cry. Plus, each deck of cards comes loaded with seriously beefy four-star
monsters so you can drop some bruisers on your opponent on turn one. For
pure power, this deck can't be beat.
Yugi Evolution Deck Thumbs Up:
Summon Black Luster Warrior (3000/2500) on turn one and kick butt!
Powerful creatures and cards.
The cards go great in any deck.
Yugi Evolution Deck Thumbs Down:
Not much strategy, just big monsters.

Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Kaiba Evolution Starter Deck
What's Kaiba up to? Dragons and lots of 'em! Blue Eyes White Dragon, Lord of D. and more of the scaly beasts plus cards to boost 'em and kick butt. Kaiba's Evolution starter deck may not have the sheer power of Yugi's, but it has combo cards that are way stronger together. If you're a Yu-Gi-Oh! pro, you'll get more bang out of this deck than a beginner but you have to know your stuff.
Kaiba Evolution Deck Thumbs Up:
Paladin of White Dragon - cool and powerful!
Lots of dragon combo cards.
Kaiba Evolution Deck Thumbs Down:
If the combo cards don't work, it's weak.
The cards are tricky to put in other decks.
