MegaMan, the blue bomber, is a battlin' robot from the dawn of the Nintendo video game empire. In the MegaMan Battle Chip Challenge video game for the Gameboy Advance, MegaMan is a virtual 'bot that battles other robots in Net Battles. Lan is the kid who owns MegaMan and he needs your help to win the Battle Chip GP and to battle evil robots. Here's the scoop on this game of strategic robot fighting action on the GBA.

The 411 on the MegaMan Battle Chip Challenge GBA Game

The deal is that you control Lan - he's MegaMan's owner and a hero from the last robot tournament. It's up to you to help Lan customize MegaMan's fighting powers by adding chips that contain weapons, armor and other power-ups. You get the chips by battling other robots or buying them from stores. Once you have MegaMan all ready to do battle, the WWW robots are up to no good and it's up to you to stop them!

The coolest thing about MegaMan Battle Chip Challenge is that it's a total strategy game. Every opponent has a weakness that you can build MegaMan to fight against, or you can even build a completely different robot to battle with. Plus, when the battle is on, you can swing the fight with special battle chip slots.

What Makes MegaMan Battle Chip Challenge Suck?

The biggest pain in the butt is that when battles are happening all you can do is sit, watch and, twice per match, try to activate one chip. Having to sit and tap a button to make the fight happen is frustrating and dull. If there was some way to press buttons to affect the battle it would be way cooler.

Is the MegaMan Battle Chip Challenge GBA Game Good?

If you're a fan of strategy battles, collectible games or MegaMan himself then yeah, it's totally worth picking up cuz you can really do lots with it. If you're looking for a robot battle smashfest, you're going to be disappointed with the lack of action.
