Transformers: PS2 Game Review

The Transformers Video Game Rocks the PS2

Three heroes, tons of power ups, solid voice acting, crazy villains and wicked, if tricky, controls make for a great game. The best thing about the game has to be the Minicon power ups - mixing and matching them can really power up your Autobot. Plus, there are strategies for using each Minicon power up. Finally, the ability to unlock animated clips from the old-skool Transformers cartoon is a total blast.

Transformers Video Game - Lameness in Disguise?

Optimus Prime is the coolest Transformer ever, but who picked Red Alert as a hero? He's as much of an action hero as Ryan Seacrest. The other biggest bug in the Transformers video game is that some of the video sequences end up stuttering. Other than that, once you learn the controls, it's all good.

Is the Transformers Video Game - Old Skool Cool?

The action is solid, once you learn the controls they rule, two of the three heroes are wicked and there are more power-up combos than you'll know what to do with. A few bugs keep it from video game perfection, but it's totally worth playing even if you aren't a huge Transformers fan.
