In true Katie Homes style, she plays a sugary-sweet character - Sam Mackenzie, the President of the United States' daughter. Sam has headed off to college and is trying desperately to please her parents during a tough election year while tyring to win over her new classmates, all at the same time. This proves to be harder than she thought! But, with the help of her in-your-face roommate, Mia Thompson, Sam might just make a name for herself (and not just cuz she's the president's daughter). If you don't already know it, First Daughter is pretty much the exact same story as Mandy Moore's flick, Chasing Liberty. The only difference is that Chasing Liberty takes place in Europe and First Daughter takes place in the States. You would hope that First Daughter would have something a little extra to make it stand out from Chasing Liberty, but the truth is, it doesn't.
