Transformers are mega-sized metal warriors from the robotic planet Cybertron. The Autobots (the good guys), and the Decepticons (bad guys), came to Earth a long time ago in search of Energon (the fuel they use to power themselves). The Autobots and the Decepticons started scrappin' it out big time in the original cartoon from the '80s and then, in the big Transformers movie, a huge planet-eating Transformer named Unicron showed up and just about wiped 'em all out.

The Transformers Energon cartoon series starts up 10 years after the planet-eating Unicron got stomped and Megatron, the Decepticon leader, got blasted out of commission. A bunch of TV-watching Transformers called Junkticons live on a junk planet.

Optimus Prime's original voice actor was also Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.
