Early American Chrononauts Time-Traveling Card Game
Courtesy of Looney Labs Early American Chrononauts is a
card game that lets you and your friends leap, head-first into the past to muck with important
historical events. It's a game of
time-traveling mayhem as you change history in a race against your
friends to be the first to achieve your secret mission. Here's our
game review.
Time-travelin’ Basics with Early American Chrononauts!
This card game kicks it off by laying out cards that detail a chunk of
American history, from 1770 to 1916. Then, each player gets a
special mission card and a card that tells you what historical events you should change. Everybody takes turns drawing cards and playing cards to
collect stuff and
change history. The first player to complete their mission, or change history to what they want, wins!
Good News from the Future with Early American Chrononauts
The first bit of good news about this card game is that it's super fun. You can collect
negative-calorie pizza, beat up the French, change the
Civil War, mess with the other players and more. Plus, playing around with
history is a fun way to learn about all the stuff that happened and how it affects everything else - just don't spill your pop on the
Boston Tea Party.
Early American Chrononauts Time Lag
The biggest problem with this
card game is that it takes a chunk of space to set up and a solid 30 minutes to an hour to play. It also really helps to have more than two players because there's a lot of
card-swapping going on that works best with more than two players.
Time's Up for Early American Chrononauts!
Looking for an
awesome party game, or something that you can play and
beat your parents at? Early American Chrononauts is the game for you! It's also a fun way to learn about some of the biggest things to happen in history, without putting up with a dull history class.
