What Jeans Work for You?

We all have different body types, so it's understandable that we don't look fabulous in the same styles! Some of us look hot in low-rise flares, while others can only pull off baggy denims. Find out which jeans look best on you based on your body shape.

 
 

Body Type - Pear Shape

Boot-cut jeans minimize a wide hip and behind. Boot-cut jeans are flattering on any body type, but they're best for pear-shaped bods because the slightly flared bottom minimizes thighs and balances out a wide hip or behind. The best way to wear boot-cuts is with stilettos or boots with a heel - so leave your flat shoes at home.


Body Type - Boyish Frame

Skinny jeans give the illusion of wider hips on a boyish figure. Girls with boyish figures should choose cigarette jeans because the slender cut at the calves makes hips look wider and adds curves to a flat behind. Offset skinny jeans with a voluminous top, and either tuck them into a pair of slouch boots or pair them with high heels, which will make you look even taller and more slender.

Body Type - Short Legs

Trouser jeans are great for hiding big thighs. Get the illusion of long legs with trouser jeans, which has a higher waist that provides a longer vertical line. Elongate your legs even more by stepping out in sky-high heels! Remember, the longer the hem, the longer your legs will look. This doesn't mean that your jeans should be dragging, but that the hem should hit below the ankles.

Body Type - All Shapes

Don't go for cropped if your legs are short! Capris and cuffed jeans look great on everyone! Just keep in mind that they can make your legs look shorter, so petit girls should look for capris that fall just below the knee. The same goes for cuffs - make smaller cuffs if you have short legs. These jeans look hot with tall boots, but don't show any space between the hem and your boot. You can also dress them down with sneakers, as long as they're not a bulky athletic shoe.
