The Geeks Get the Girls

Back in the Stone Ages, striped shirts, suspenders, thick-rimmed glasses and pocket protectors described the typical geek. Now when peeps think of geeks, they think of Seth Cohen, whose existence was only known when he was being beaten up by the water polo players. But he's gone from being a social outcast to the object of Summer Roberts' affection, all the while proving to everyone that it's totally hip to be dorky.

Geek Chic

The impossibly cool nerd with a love for witty one-liners and indie rock bands landed a popular girl with his sincerity and geek chic. So here's how you can get the look - and the girl! When you tune into The O.C. on Thursday nights, you'll see Seth in Mr. Rogers-style cardigans, sweater vests and [kwlink]Chuck Taylors[/kwlink]. These classic sneakers are a wardrobe essential since they look good with everything and instantly add a touch of retro cool to your style. Other key pieces to look geek chic are graphic tees, polo shirts, dress shirts, track jackets and a lot of stripes and argyle patterns. Whatever you wear, the rule of thumb is to keep it slim and slender. So be dorky yet cool in a striped dress shirt, an argyle sweater and a pair of slim-fitting trousers.

Targeting Teen Trends

Adam Brody and Seth Cohen are totally similar - Adam even admits to being a closet nerd who hangs out in comic book stores and likes to be first in line for the latest superhero flick! The on and off-screen trendsetter has even revived interest in the Original Penguin vintage clothing brand, which recently opened its first store in New York. Adam is so geek chic that his styles, such as sweater vests over polo shirts, have made their way onto the racks at Target, so be sure to check them out!

Your style is simply whatever you want to wear! Just wear whatever feels comfortable, or whatever you think looks good, and it is your style (: It doesn't matter if it's not entirely individual and unique, as long as it's what you feel happy wearing.

I love both my parents equally, but I prefer to spend time with my dad. My father works abroad so I see him a lot less than my mother, but it means that when I see him it feels more special :3

To be honest, this is probably just something you have to bear. I know that sometimes relatives can be irritating, but they only visit often because they care about you and want to see you (: Unless there is a real reason you don't want them to visit - for example, if they are unkind to you - then you should just endure it.  Or you could mention it to your parents and see if they can sort it out? This is something lots of kids have to deal with, me included, and it's just part of life! You are lucky to have grandparents who care about you so much c:
