Zatch Bell The Card Battle Anime Game Review
Courtesy of BandaiThe Zatch Bell anime TV show tells the story of one hundred Mamodo who have come to Earth with their spellbooks to battle for the title of King of the Mamodos. With the Zatch Bell card game you can join the battle as your fave Mamodo. How cool is it? We review it here!
Mamodo Battle Basics in the Zatch Bell Card Game
The weirdest thing about the Zatch Bell card game is the
Mamodo spellbooks. Rather than having a
deck of cards, you get a spellbook to fill with your spells and other cards! You turn the pages in your spellbook when you take damage, and to generate energy to cast spells. The first player to run out of pages in their spellbook loses the battle.
Cool Zatch Bell Mamodo Battle Facts
The Zatch Bell
spellbooks are cool, really cool. They're a great way to
duel and to keep your cards organized. You get a Mamodo-themed spellbook in the
starter pack. With boosters, you get cards for other Mamodos and can build spellbooks for
Gofure,
Fein,
Reycom and more. The game also uses the
artwork from the popular
anime show.
Stuff That Sucks about the Zatch Bell Card Game
The biggest bummer is how
repetitive games can be. Shuffling a deck of cards means you'll get different cards each game but, in the
Zatch Bell card game, you know exactly what cards you're getting. It's great if you're a
strategy fan, but battling friends can get boring unless you change your deck a lot.
Zatch Bell Card Game Final Word
It's a
cool game and the spellbooks are awesome. Not shuffling a deck can be weird, but lots of cards require
coin-flips so that adds to the randomness. It's a great game for fans of the Zatch Bell
cartoon and even for peeps who have never heard of the wee feller.
Zatch Bell Thumbs Up:
You get your own spellbook!
Build a deck for any Mamodo from the show and battle.
It's great if you like strategy.
Zatch Bell Thumbs Down:
It's not as random as other card games.
If your spellbook gets damaged, you have a problem.
