Top 10 Movies of 2005 (pg. 2)

#5. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Best friends unite! The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is all about sticking with your best friends, no matter what's going on in your life. This movie has a great cast, including Joan of Arcadia's Amber Tamblyn and Gilmore Girls' Alexis Bledel. The movie follows each girl as they go off on their own adventures for the first time in their lives. This is the perfect sleepover movie!

#4. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Tim Burton does it again with this adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Johnny Depp puts in another spectacular performance as Willie Wonka - even if he is a little creepy. The tunes are catchy and the set is out of this world. Die-hard fans of the original Gene Wilder version might have some issues with this movie, but it is a great flick to check out with the rest of your family.

#3. King Kong

King Kong arrives just as 2005 is coming to an end but it definitely makes its way into our list of the Top Ten Movies. This flick has amazing special effects, lots of action and some sweet, sentimental plot points. Directed by Lord of the Rings master, Peter Jackson, King Kong is totally worth checking out!

#2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The fourth Harry Potter movie finally hit theaters in November 2005. In their fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry, Hermoine and Ron face some of the most dangerous things yet. Harry is competing in the Triwizard Tournament, Hogwarts is hosting a winter ball and Voldemort has taken on his human form again. A must-see for all fledgling witches and wizards!

#1. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
The epic Star Wars tale came to a dark and dramatic end in 2005 with Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Anakin is about to turn to the dark side and become the Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Die-hard Star Wars fans have no-doubt seen this flick already, but even if you didn't dress up as a Jedi for the premiere, you should check out this movie - definitely one of the best of 2005.
