Beach Sports Gear

Planning to hit the sand for some sun this summer? Check out the essential sports gear you need for a day at the beach.

Beach Sports Gear - Beach Volleyball

A volleyball is the ultimate piece of beach sports gear. Beach volleyball is a great social game and a fun way to appreciate a nice patch of soft sand. All you need to play is a ball and net, which you can usually find at most department stores. If you can't track down a net, you can still bring a volleyball and hit it back and forth with your friends.

Beach Sports Gear - Horseshoes

A set of horseshoes are perfect for a day at the beach, whether you're playing on sand or grass. Horseshoes is a laid back game, takes limited athletic ability and can be played by all ages. Just make sure you watch where you're throwing - a horseshoe to the head brings an early end to any beach party.

Beach Sports Gear - Beach Bocce

Hit the sand for a game of beach bocce. Bocce is usually played on grass, but don't let that stop you from picking up a set of balls and playing on the sand. Bocce is easy to learn and is a fun game for playing with a group of friends or family. It's also the ideal game for summer days at the park or your backyard.

Beach Sports Gear - Frisbee

Whether you're just playing catch with your friends, going long to your dog or playing a game of Ultimate, a frisbee is must-bring piece of sports equipment for any afternoon at the beach. "Accidently" tossing a frisbee towards that hottie or group of hotties you've been scoping out all day can also be a unique way to meet people.

They're throwing each other in the air, performing possibly dangerous stunts, not even mentioning that they have to wear those skimpy outfits in freezing weather.  And also, my sister got a severe head injury and a sprained neck while doing a stunt. That's more injured than i've seen a basketball player get.
