America voted, and crowned Nick Lazzarini as their Dance Idol in Season One! He danced away with a $100,000 cash prize and got to live rent-free in a New York City apartment for one year.

Benji Schwimmer won the second season and received $100,000, as well as a new car and a one-year contract to perform in Celine Dion's show in Las Vegas.

Lauren Sanchez hosted the first season, but left the show to have a baby.

So You Think You Can Dance is produced by the same peeps who created American Idol.

Paula Abdul originally signed on to travel across the country to teach average Americans a thing or two about dancing, but pulled out due to scheduling conflicts with American Idol.
