Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego Facts

Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego Facts - Reviewed by Kidzworld on Dec 27, 2006
( Rating: 4 Star Rating)

Carmen Sandiego is back on DVD to teach us about world geography, landmarks and maybe steal some loot while she's at it. Check out Kidzworld's review of Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego.

In an international poll, Americans scored second to last in geographic knowledge, trailing behind Canada, France, Germany, the UK, Italy, Japan and Sweden. Thankfully, Carmen Sandiego is back to help America pick up the slack (and pick up a map!).

  • Ivy - Zack's sister who also helps ACME track down lost treasure.
  • The Chief - A holographic image who heads up ACME's team of geography-buff sleuths to help them find the missing artifacts.
  • Stretch the Crime Dog - This mutt is one henchman-hunting machine and he sure doesn't get along with Carmen Sandiego's cat, Carmine.
  • Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego - Fun Facts

  • Carmen's gang's name - VILE - stands for Villains' International League of Evil.
  • Carmen Sandiego first appeared in a line of computer games produced by Broderbund.
  • Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego was a spin-off of the live-action quiz show Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?
  • Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego - Quotes

"Ivy, we're smart people. So why do we always do things that make us look like we have the intelligence of beef jerky?" - Zack.

"Oh, really Zack, is that here or on the planet 'Guess' again?" - Ivy.

"Think out your plan like a woman of action. Then act out your plan like a woman of thought." - Carmen Sandiego.

Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego - DVD Review

Okay, no one other than your mom wants to hear the word "educational" thrown around in a DVD review, but Carmen Sandiego actually manages to pull off the educational/entertaining combo. The DVD features all sort of cool extras like original storyboarding and original art galleries. Distressingly catchy theme song aside, this is a DVD you'll watch over and over. So should you buy it? Do it, Rockapella!

Here are my top 9 worst TV shows I have ever watched. 1. Breadwinners and Sanjay and Craig (tie) 2. Marvin Marvin 3.  Pickle and Peanut 4 Fred Figglehorn  5. Annoying Orange 6. Austin and Ally 7. Dog on a Blog 8. The Day My Butt Went Psycho (I'm not Canadian but it doesn't look like a good show) 9. Lab Rats  Basically every show that has a laugh track.  If you are looking for a good show, watch Doctor Who. No laugh tracks, humor is used properly, good storyline, DOESN'T take place in a school ALL OF THE TIME (well, it does in some episodes such as school reunion) The cast isn't full of teenagers and parents won't get so annoyed of the show. It's about a 900 year old time lord (who looks like a human) that travels in a TARDIS. He has 13 regenerations and almost always has a female companion with him. He is the last of his species so he's always lonely on Earth.

Plus he said MOST on cartoon Network. Not every show. I have to agree. There is better TV out there... Such as.... *takes deep breath* Doctor Who (Better than ALL of the trash they show on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and most cartoon network shows combined) Old spongebob (not the new spongebob episodes) Sherlock (hmmm I have never watched the show but i have heard it's awesome) I worship the BBC for making good things happen to the world.
