In the
PC game, Nancy Drew Danger on Deception Island, Nancy is taking a little
vacation. Her friends suggest she head to
Deception Island in Washington State, but once
Nancy Drew arrives, she realizes that there's a mystery to solve! Seems a
whale watching boat has been
vandalized and from there, the "accidents" just keep coming. So it's up to you - as Nancy Drew - to poke around the island,
interrogate the locals and get to the bottom of
the mystery.
Nancy Drew Neat Clues
The
computer game is easy to learn, thanks to a super-short but
useful tutorial. It's all you need to start your mission. The graphics on this Nancy Drew
computer game are 'da bomb! They use both
real images and
cool graphics, as you move along on your adventure. The
sound effects and music are well chosen, too. I got a little
freaked out every time I heard a door creek. Getting to walk around town as
Nancy Drew is pretty cool. The game lets you chose dialogue so it's up to you to ask the right questions, or give
cheeky comebacks! If you're a little nervous about making a wrong decision that'll land you in the
hospital (tip: don't cycle without
a helmet) - don't be. There's a
Second Chance button that let's you try again - picking up where you left off. And, you can call those super-cute
Hardy Boys for advice and help along the way!
Nancy Drew Dead Ends
Nancy Drew Danger on Deception Island is not your typical
mindless video game. There is a lot of
dialogue to listen to and remember (clues, clues, clues) and some of the
challenges/puzzles Nancy Drew needs to figure out are not exactly no-brainers. Morse Code is harder to learn than Latin! Luckily, there are two different levels of
game play. You don't have to be a
professional detective right off
the bat, you can play as a
Junior Detective and get a little more help along the way.
Nancy Drew Danger on Deception Island: Final Word
If you're into using that noggin of yours, this game will have you hooked. Before you know it, you'll be
dying to play other Nancy Drew computer
mysteries like, Stay Tuned for Danger and The Haunted Carousel!
