Naruto: Ultimate Ninja PS2 Fighting Game Review
Courtesy of Namco BandaiNaruto and his friends (and enemies!) are putting their ninja skills to the test on the Playstation 2 in the new Naruto: Ultimate Ninja video game! This fighting game is based on the hit Naruto anime TV show about the young ninja with the dream to become the Hokage, the master ninja, of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. So what's the deal with the game? Gary's checked out the ninja action and here's his game review!
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja - Fighting Action 101
Welcome to Naruto's
Ninja Academy in the Village Hidden in the Leaves! You get to control Naruto, or one of
13 other ninja, and kick the stuffing out of other ninjas. You can follow the battles of your
fave ninja from the TV show, battle any two ninjas against each other or complete special
ninja missions. Each battle earns you cash you can spend on
collecting items and
unlocking stuff. You and a friend can also play two-player battles!
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja - A+ Ninja Action
This game makes kicking butt as Naruto, or one of his
friends,
super easy! There are lots of really
cool ninja moves you can unleash, plus each character has a crazy super move they can use once they have enough
chakra. The levels are great too, with lots of places to jump to and
power-ups to grab.
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja - Hidden Lameness
If you're a
Naruto fan you'll notice that the
voices in the game sound different from the
anime. Also, since all the attacks are done with
one button, the combos are pretty limited. Collecting items is weak too because you can spend your
$$$ for a random item and
get nothing!
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja - Deadly Ninjas and Powerful Jutsu?
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja is a
stylin' fighting game that's packed with
awesome moves and is
super easy to play! There are a few weak spots, but it's a solid game that's fun even if you aren't a
Naruto fan.
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Thumbs Up:
Great looking battles.
Tons of wicked ninja super attacks.
Grab power-ups and new weapons in mid-battle.
Ninja missions!
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Thumbs Down:
Crummy voices.
Limited combo moves.
Collecting items is a bit weak.
