Casting Call - Seussical the Musical

Here's your chance to leap into the pages of Dr. Seuss and actually become one of his characters! A musical production of Seussical the Musical is going down in California and they're holding auditions until September 23, 2006!

Seussical the Musical - From Seuss to Song

Seussical the Musical is about an imaginative boy named Jojo who discovers a strange red and white striped top hat. He wonders what kind of person would wear such a hat, when The Cat in the Hat magically appears! As they sing and jump from one adventure to another, famous Seussian characters come and go, including The Whos, Horton the Elephant and Gertrude McFuzz.

Seussical the Musical - Audition 411

Seussical the Musical is holding an open casting call in Buena Park, California until September 23, 2006. Roles are open to both guys and girls between the ages of 9 and 18. You'll be required to sing and dance - after all, it is a musical! Be prepared to sing a song, but stay away from pop music. You'll also learn a short dance routine on the day of auditions, so remember to bring your dancing shoes! You must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Seussical the Musical - The Seussian Characters

Seussical the Musical is looking for kids and teens to play the following roles.
  • The Cat in the Hat
  • JoJo
  • Horton the Elephant
  • Gertrude McFuzz
  • Sour Kangaroo
  • Mayzie La Bird
  • General Gengus Khan Schmitz
  • Wickersham Brothers
  • The Whos
  • Various jungle creatures

  • You may not be familiar with all of these characters, so head to your local library to read as many of Dr. Seuss' books as you can. If you're going to perform the role, you're going to have to know the character inside out!

    If you want the "Look" , but don't want to pay the price, I suggest you find cheaper alternatives.  You don't need the brand, you just want something that looks like it. I would recommend JcPenney's for you. When I was your age I would sometimes buy things there and they have constant sales.

    As people get older they tend to change and find new friends. It could happen for a number of reasons. Maybe their interests are different then yours and they've found other friends with similar ones. Either way, it's probably nothing you're doing wrong. My Gpa always told me that If you have one true friend your lucky. More than that? Blessed. Because many people don't have any real friends. I would value the ones you have and not worry about the other ones who "Turned on you" .
