All About the Jack-O'-Lantern

Think Jack-O'-Lantern is a friendly guy with a sweet tooth? No way! Get the spooky story on the man behind the pumpkin face!

Halloween's Very Own Scrooge

Jack was a cheap and greedy man, which is how he got the nickname Stingy Jack. He was also really mean and loved to play evil tricks on people - he even used a silver cross to capture the Devil and make him promise to never take his soul, even after he died. Well soon after, Jack died! He wasn't allowed into heaven cuz he hadn't exactly been Mr. Nice Guy, and the Devil, who was keeping his promise, wouldn't let him into hell. He sent Jack off with a burning coal from the fires of Hell to light his way, which he put into a turnip so it wouldn't burn his hands. Ever since, he's been known as Jack of the Lantern, or Jack-O'-Lantern.

The Good Stuff About Being Jack

Jack-O'-Lantern represents all things Halloween - carving pumpkins, dressing up in scary costumes, bobbing for apples and trick-or-treating for candy and chocolate. What a cool guy!

The Bad Stuff About Being Jack

Jack-O'-Lantern doesn't have a warm bed to sleep in or a comfy couch to watch TV on cuz he's homeless. He's been roaming the earth since the 1700s cuz he can't enter either heaven or hell! So if you ever see Jack wandering around, why don't you give him some spare change to buy himself a hot drink?

How Much $$$ Does Jack Make?

We don't know how much Jack-O'-Lantern gets paid on Halloween night, but we're pretty sure he doesn't need any extra cash. Since he's too cheap to spend any of his money, he must be a multi-millionaire by now!

Stingy Jack - Real or Totally Made Up?

  • He's a real man who lived a long, long time ago.
  • He's totally made up.
  • He was real, but his story has changed over the years.
  • I'm not sure.

'Does Donald Trump suck?' - Yes, he does. Although, we can criticise anything about anyone. It's tough choosing between Clinton and Trump.  Good luck, America.

Here's a quick rundown of the AU- Take Batman, then put it in Undertale, and make the underground Gotham.  But with a twist.  Papyrus- Batman, fights against pun usage in the city (XD)  Sans- Joker, the most famous for using puns, Papyrus' most famous enemy Undyne- Gordon, helps Batman fight against punners and leads the city cops Frisk- Robin, is neutral on puns but still helps Papyrus  Toriel- Harley Quinn, second most famous for using puns, and often tags along with Sans  Asgore- Bane, he doesn't use puns as much, but he does sell joke and pun books. Flowey- Riddler, he leaves riddles everywhere to throw people off or lead them into traps Alphys- Oracle, isn't related to Undyne here, and helps Frisk and Papyrus behind the scenes. Mettaton- Catwoman, sometimes helps sometimes doesn't. Neutral ground. Napstablook- mayor of the city, doesn't do much, lets everyone else take care of it since its their jobs.  Monsterkid- Killer Croc, he decided to dress up as a crocodile since he kinda looked like one, and picked up off of Sans and now tells puns.

"Boysrock50" wrote:Say a criminal consistently broke into your house and stole from you, due to the fact that you had no lock on your door. Would you honestly expect the criminal's mother to take responsibility and pay for a lock? First, a mother taking responsibility for her child is not the same as a government taking responsibility for its' citizens.  Secondly, we border Mexico. They're our neighbors. It would be more like having no fence between you and your neighbor's house, and your neighbor's kids constantly trespassing and destroying your garden. If it's the case that you've suffered the damages, then your neighbor should rightfully pay for a fence to be built.  It's the same with the U.S.-Mexico border, but on a much grander scale. A tenth of the Mexican population has come into this country illegally, and it's costing us hundreds of billions every year. So, why is it wrong for Mexico to pay for a 20 billion dollar wall?
