2007 Major League Baseball Season Preview

Kidzworld shares its predictions for the 2007 MLB season.
2007 MLB Season Preview

The boys of summer have returned to bring you another season of baseball! Can the Cardinals repeat as World Series Champions? Will Barry finally pass Hank Aaron for the all-time Home Run Record? Is this the year of the Dodgers? Kidzworld dishes out what to expect from the 2007 MLB season!

2007 MLB Preview - American League Picks and Predictions

This year the American League title is up for grabs, which means teams like the Yankees, Athletics and Tigers all have a chance to come out on top. New York definitely has the talent to get to the end, but previous years have seen A-Rod and the rest of the Yankees choke last minute. The A's have a history of turning it up in the second half of the season, so they're our pick to do what the Cardinals did last year - turn it up in the postseason! Watch for sleeper teams such as Toronto, the Red Sox or Angels to compete for a wild card berth. Toronto now has the Big Hurt in Frank Thomas, so for Jays fans, let's hope Frank shows his experience rather than his age this season.

Kidzworld's 2007 Picks:

  • Division Champs: New York Yankees (East), Detroit Tigers (Central), Oakland Athletics(West).
  • Wild Card: Toronto Blue Jays
  • American League MVP: Manny Ramirez, Boston Red Sox
  • 2007 MLB Preview - National League Picks and Predictions

Could this year be the year the Dodgers return to the World Series? With a bullpen loaded with as much talent as the cast of Friends, they sure have a good shot. After the Cubs posted the worst record in the National League last year, they reloaded with big-time talent like Alfonso Soriano and Mark DeRosa. They have a real chance to steal the National League Central title away from the Brewers. Ryan Howard and the Phillies should also be a tough team to beat, but the Mets showed too much promise in last years' playoffs to count them out. Also expect the Cubs' Alfonso Soriano and the Dodgers' Nomar Garciaparra to both have a great year.

    Kidzworld's 2007 Picks:

  • Division Champs: New York Mets (East), Chicago Cubs (Central), Los Angeles Dodgers (West).
  • Wild Card: San Diego Padres
  • National League MVP: Andrew Jones, Atlanta Braves.

In a California showdown, the Los Angeles Dodgers will defeat the Oakland A's in six games.

    2007 MLB Preview - What's Hot, What's Not

  • Hot - Expect 2007 to be a historic year. Barry Bonds has the chance to pass Hank Aaron for the career Home Run Record. With about 20 home runs to go, it's almost certain Barry will break the record that has stood for 34 years.
  • Not - The St Louis Cardinals crept up on everybody in the 2006 postseason to win it all. Don't expect the same to happen this year. Many teams have become a lot stronger, so it's far-fetched to think that the Cards will even make the postseason.
  • Who do you think's gonna win the 2007 World Series? to Kidzworld.

I've been pogosticking for a couple of months.  I've worn out two pogosticks already, and I can do almost any trick in the book.  Does any of you have any ideas how I can convince my parents to get me an extreme pogostick?  (For those of you that don't know, extreme pogosticks can go like 15 feet high.)
