Bands to Watch for in Fall 2007

If your iPod is full of warn-out tunes (what was up with the nu-metal phase you went through last year?), it's time to check out some fresher sounds. Check out our fave bands to lookout for this season!
New Bands to Watch For - Tokio Hotel
Tokio Hotel is the
German rock band who has been tearing up the
European charts since 2001, and is now set to take America by storm with their rock anthems and
power ballads. Whether you're already a fan of this up-and-coming band, or you're just checking into Tokio Hotel, you've gotta check out their
first English-language EP featuring the hit singles Scream and Ready Set Go, available exclusively at
Hot Topic. Check out a clip of Tokio Hotel's hit single
Scream right here.
New Bands to Watch For - Klaxons
This
British foursome has breathed new life into the dance
punk scene (and essentially defined Nu Rave) with their debut album Myths of the New Future. The group has won legions of fans, and one of Britain's
most prestigious music awards, with their otherworldly sound. If you can't get down to Golden Skans or It's Not Over Yet, you should check to make sure you still
have a pulse.
New Bands to Watch For - Cold War Kids
The
California-based Cold War Kids have brought their brand of bluesy
indie rock to the masses on their debut album, Robbers & Cowards. The foursome has been
gathering momentum this year, touring and doing the late night talk show circuit. Look out Bruce Springsteen, this is the new
Americana sound.
New Bands to Watch For - Air Traffic
Not since
The Beatles landed in the US has there been such an interest in British music.
Air Traffic is very much still in the "up-and-coming" category, but expect big things from this
indie rock band. The group's debut album, Fractured Life, has been described as sounding like "Supergrass covering Little Richard". If you don't
have a clue what that would sound like, you'll have to give the album a listen.
