Nintendo Doesn't Share

Nintendo's one of the big boys. They're a huge game company and everyone knows their name, especially because of their characters - Mario, Luigi, Link, Yoshi and even Pikachu. Nintendo's team is packed with all-stars and you'll only find them on your Nintendo game system.

Other systems like the Sega Dreamcast, the Sony Playstation 2, home Computers and the upcoming Microsoft Xbox are sharing the big names and the big games. Sega games are becoming totally compatible, even across the net. If you want to play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater you can pick it up for any system you own and have a blast. That's cool cuz it let's you pick your fave machine and play your fave game on it without worrying about having the right system to play the games you want.

Nintendo doesn't do that. The only way your lil' bro' is gonna be able to play with Pikachu or you'll be able to lay some smack down with Super Smash Bros. is on a Nintendo. The big N doesn't give you any choice about systems. It's "Our way or the highway" for all of their video game all-stars.

That's all well and good if you're a Nintendo fan but if you'd rather play on your Dreamcast it can be a pain. If you have a sudden urge to play Pokemon you're gonna have to get your very own Nintendo to do it. But if you wanted to play with the Hawkster or duke it out with Capcom's Street Fighters you can get the Dreamcast version and you're all set.

What's up with Nintendo copping an attitude with it's characters? It's all legit. You can't give 'em grief for breaking any rules - but it's pretty greedy. They want their stuff on their system and they're not big on sharing.

Hey B>Nintendo! Your games rock, your systems are the bomb and you have the coolest game characters ever. How about sharing the wealth for us gamers who don't own every game system in the world?

Nintendo's characters are worth millions, if Sony got their hands on them, no more Nintendo and that it a bad thing.
