The 2002 MTV Movie Awards aired on June 6, 2002. The pre-taped show was hosted by Orange County's Jack Black and Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Sarah Michelle Gellar, which made for some interesting chemistry.

The performances peeps were most hyped about seeing were Eminem, performing his new hit Without Me, and pink-haired Kelly Osbourne performing her thrashy cover of Madonna's Papa Don't Preach. Eminem made his way on to stage by flying in decked out as Robin from the old Batman show. The crowd went nuts for Slim Shady. This was Kelly Osbourne's first-ever live performance and she did pretty good. Ozzy, her mom Sharon, and even Madonna should be proud.

One of the cool things about the MTV Movie Awards is that they aren't stuffy and boring like a lot of other award shows out there. They're fun and part of what makes 'em fun is the unique categories like Best Kiss, Best Fight and Best On-screen Team. The Lord of the Rings and Moulin Rouge's Nicole Kidman were the big winners of the night. Here is a list of all the stars that walked away with a golden bucket of popcorn...

I saw the MTV Movie Awards. It was okay I guess. It was not as good as last years and the year before that. Those were awesome. I did not like Eminem's performace but I digged Kelly Osbournes. The White Stripes were okay too. I liked when Britney Murphy was presenting an award and went "I'll Never Tell." That was classic.
