Console Wars 2 :: Nintendo Gamecube
Nintendo's entry into the Console Wars is the Gamecube, a pint sized purple game system so portable it has a built-in carrying handle. It's set to roll into stores by November 5th 2001 and it's bringing the whole family with it. Mario, Luigi, Metroid, Pikachu and just about every famous face in gaming is going to be ready to game. Let's check the specs on the little dynamo.
The Power:
Clocking in at 485Mhz and packing 40MB of RAM, the Gamecube has more than twice the kick of the Dreamcast and even beats the Playstation 2. Thumbs up for being honest about its graphics too.Rating:
The Games:
No contest. The Gamecube has the games wrapped up three ways to Sunday and then some. With Nintendo's team of all-stars (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Spyro, Pikachu and more) starring in Nintendo's games, they're the only way to go.

Hip-hip hurray for the big N on this one. The price on the Gamecube is a low, low $200 US. That's $100 US less than the PS2 and the Xbox. The Dreamcast is the only thing cheaper.

The little cube is looking like a big contender. The only weakness this system has is the lack of DVD. The ability to plug in your Game Boy Advance as a controller and do some funky interactive stuff between the two systems almost makes up for it but no DVD is a big bummer.

In my opinion the #1 on top of The big bulky PS2 and the Gigantic XBOX
480mhz on top of a wimpy PS2's 300mhz. I like PS2 and XBOX but GAMECUBE IN
MY OPINION IS THE BEST. NO DVD... I don't care a "GAMING" console is meant
for gaming only

PS2 is the sleekest coolest looking console. Gamecube is a tiny little toy, and has the worst controller out there. Sure, Gamecube is more powerful then PS2, but if power is the case, then why dont get an Xbox? it destroyes Gamecube when it comes to power, and graphics. It all comes down to the games... PS2's games are on top of all, and it goes to show with PS2 sales records. 5x more than toy Gamecube, and 30x that of the beast, Xbox.
