Is there anyone more spectacular than Spider-Man? Heck no! We've got the lowdown on the first DVD release from this awesome cartoon series: Attack of the Lizard!

Attack of the Lizard

Peter Parker is a super-powered high school junior, just back from an exciting summer vacation of crime fighting. Now this adolescent Spider-Man must face his greatest opponents yet -- his high school's social hierarchy!

Meet the Clique

Thankfully, Spidey's gonna get by with a little help from his friends - Harry and Norman Osborn, Eddie Brock, and Gwen Stacy. There are all kinds of villains out to get our arachno- rific hero, so he's going to need all the help he can get!

Spider-Nerd

Peter Parker hopes his newly acquired super-skills will make him a hit with the ladies and keep him from getting picked on in homeroom, but that's not really how things work out. At least he can be the coolest kid around when he dons his Lycra and gets down to the business of crime fighting!

The Bottom Line

The Spectacular Spider-Man: Attack of the Lizard DVD is made up of three episodes of this awesome Saturday morning cartoon. It's a great introduction to the series for those of you who are new to it and an even better keepsake for those of you who know and love it. There have been a lot of different versions of Spider-Man over the years, but this is one of our favorites. It stays true to the original spirit while coming up with great, fresh scenarios. Check it out!

I've been meaning to find more horror animes to watch, actually. A little more classic would probably be Blood-C. Less classic is Death Note, given it's more of a physiological horror. And, Corpse Party: Tortured Souls.

Okay okay. I think I have a pun. Atom 1: I think I lost an electron! Atom 2: No way! Are you positive?! I admit I saw it somewhere once, and that chemistry pun brought it back to mind :P
