New Moon Cast Interviews
If you haven’t had your fill of New Moon, take a look at some of these interviews with the New Moon cast members.
On November 18, Kristin Stewart appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Although Jimmy did most of the talking during the interview, Kristen did manage to get a few words in edgewise. She told Jimmy about her plans for her long anticipated Christmas holiday, and her flair for baking pies. She gave Jimmy the inside scoop on her interview with Martha Stewart, in which all Martha wanted to talk about was Robert Pattinson. After discussing Taylor Lautner’s physical transformation from Twilight to New Moon, Kristen showed Jimmy her football skills.
Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen, appeared on Ellen on November 18. He recently appeared on the cover of a pet magazine with his dog Kola. Kellan told Ellen about how he adopted Kola after moving to LA. The trickster that she is, Ellen said she’d donate $5000 to the Humane Society if Kellan took his shirt off. Unfortunately, he wasn’t allowed to do that, so he did some amazing push-ups instead, complete with claps, leg kick-ups, one arm maneuvers!
On November 20, Robert Pattinson appeared on Ellen. He talked about a funny fan experience where he jokingly told a fan to take her clothes off. Of course, she immediately began undressing and was escorted from the building by security. He told Ellen about how he wants to buy a house. But being an international heartthrob makes it hard to do normal, everyday things in secrecy. Ellen ended the interview by showing viewers some cute and embarrassing childhood pictures of Rob.
The stunning lead actors in the New Moon film appeared together on Jimmy Kimmel on November 20. Jimmy teased Taylor Lautner about his rumored relationship with Taylor Swift, and commented on his new physique. He then embarrassed Taylor with a childhood breakdancing video. They ended the interview with audience questions, including a marriage proposal to Kristen.
On November 13,Stephenie Meyer gave Oprah Winfrey an exclusive interview about the New Moon film. She told Oprah about her experience watching her story come to life on screen—everything from the characters to the werewolf animation. Meyer discussed her dream on June 3, 2003 that sparked the Twilight phenomenon and how she never intended to publish. But after nine rejections and five no responses, Twilight fell into the hands of her current agent. And thank goodness it did!
