Jul 13, 2010

Hey Coach,

How do I lose weight?

Nishi

Losing weight is probably the trickiest trick in the book. It is so tricky because all of us are so different so no answer is 100% guaranteed. Some people can eat whatever they want and gain absolutely no weight. Other people aren’t so lucky. But you have to understand the expression “you are what you eat” because that is simply the truth.

30 Minute Mayhem

So, now after you figure out what you’re eating and you still need to lose weight, your answer to take off those love handles is simple… EXERCISE! You will be surprised how fit you will look with just 30 minutes of exercise everyday.

No Pain No Gain

Good SweatGood Sweat

Some people disagree that only 30 minutes of exercise won’t help you lose weight. That’s because they aren’t exercising hard enough to lose weight. You can’t expect to lose weight if you are strolling along the track without breaking a sweat.

Tip Top Tone

Hard WorkHard Work

Exercise is supposed to be uncomfortable… especially if you are out of shape. You got to work hard for those 30 minutes and break a sweat. The good news is that the more you do it, the easier it gets, and that means you will be losing fat and gaining muscle and tone.

Dieting Dilemma

Health FoodHealth Food

There are lots of diets out there that will also help you lose weight. The problem with those diets is that the food is not fun to eat and as soon as you stop, you will put the weight back on immediately. The good thing about exercise is that the more you do it, the more you will want to keep doing it. A lot of people find a passion in sports, going to the gym, doing yoga, and having fun working hard at something to get better.

Communication Breakdown

Obesity is one of the biggest problems in youth today, and it’s good to know that children are interested in losing weight. However, losing weight can be very dangerous and some methods can lead to serious problems physically and mentally. Make sure that you talk about these things with your parents or a teacher that can help make sure you stay healthy.
