Jennette McCurdy Bio

Birthdate: June 26, 1992
Birthplace: Garden Grove, California

You know Jennette McCurdy best as Sam Puckett on iCarly, but did you know she also writes country songs? Find out more in Jennette’s all new Kidzworld bio!

It was Harrison Ford’s performance as Han Solo in Star Wars that convinced Jennette McCurdy that she had to act. Years later, after guest spots on Zoey 101, Malcolm in the Middle and True Jackson, VP, Jennette acted alongside her idol on the big screen! She played a small role in the 2003 Harrison Ford action-comedy, Hollywood Homicide!

Sam Puckett

Jennette has starred on iCarly since the show started on Nickelodeon back in 2007. She plays Carly’s good friend Sam Puckett, a tomboy with a big appetite and an even bigger heart. Even though Sam has a bit of a lazy streak, she’s quick to her feet when her friends are in trouble.

Not That Far Away

Jennette is a great actor but she’s also a talented country singer and songwriter! Jennette says she writes country music because “there’s hardly a country song that doesn’t make you smile and want to dance, or want to make you have a tear trickling down your cheek. So for country music to evoke those kinds of emotions, I guess that’s what drew me towards it.” If you go to Notthatfaraway.com, the website for Jennette’s new single, Not That Far Away, you can customize the video with your own photos!

Did You Know?

  • Jennette’s favorite musicians are Bob Dylan, Jesse McCartney, Michael Buble, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson.
  • Jennette was so inspired by the ice skating in the 2006 Winter Olympics that she took time off from iCarly to learn! She can even do a double axle!
  • Sammi Hanratty is one of Jennette’s best friends!

Alright let me start out by saying that, I do not think you should be forced to like anime. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions out what they watch. But their is some bogus reason to why people say they hate it. 1. "Anime is For Kids" - Alright we all know this isn't true. Sure some are directed towards kids but ones like Tokyo Ghoul, Attack On Titan, Boku no Pico, and several others that would definitely change people's mind. 2. "Anime is a bad influence" - And Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Walking Dead arent?  3. "Anime has very inappropriate messages to them that are harmful to children and adults" - Doesnt everything have their little "parodies" of the original that may have a rating of Triple X? If its out there, there is a "parody" of it. Not just anime.
