Top 10 Wii Games 2011

2011 has been a pretty good year for the Wii. There are lots of great choices among this year's releases. Any one of the titles below will make a gamer happy.

No. 10: NBA 2K12

While the NBA lockout may have had basketball fans disappointed, they can enjoy the excellent NBA 2K12 game. Play as your favorite team or take on the role of one of many legendary players, such as Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

No. 9: Lost in Shadow

A beautiful game with swordplay. Lost in Shadow is a 2D puzzle platformer with an interesting twist. You play as a shadow and must manipulate objects in the foreground in order to cast different shadows for you to move on.

No. 8: de Blob 2

The sequel to the popular Wii platformer from a few years ago, de Blob 2 lets you control the Blob character and use paint and colors in interesting ways to defeat enemies and explore the world.

No. 7: Bit.Trip COMPLETE

Bit.Trip was originally released as several WiiWare mini-games. Bit.Trip COMPLETE combines all of these super addicting games together in a single title. Though the graphics may not be much, the fun offered by these games is definitely worth it.

No. 6: Xenoblade Chronicles

This Nintendo developed RPG game is unfortunately only available in Europe, but it is amazing! There are rumors that it may come to North American in 2012, so keep your eyes peeled.

No. 5: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure

Bring the Skylander toys to life using the portal reader. Explore and fight your way through various worlds and level up your Skylander. The toy remembers everything about your character, even if you use it with a different game and on a different console.

No. 4: LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7

The comical, but fantastic LEGO games are back again this year! LEGO Harry Potter is super fun and is perfect for both fans of Harry Potter and LEGO.

No. 3: LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean

If pirates are more your thing, then check out LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, which covers the first four films and features over 70 characters from the movies.

No. 2: Kirby's Return to Dream Land

Kirby's Return to Dream Land is a return to traditional Kirby game play. Inhale enemies and copy their powers to defeat other enemies and save Popstar!

No. 1:The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

This is a game that should need no introduction. Skyward Sword, the latest installment in the epic Legend of Zelda series, is a wonderful gaming experience with beautiful art style and story. The Wii Motionplus controller or add-on is required, but it will give you full control of Link's sword.
