The Vampire Diaries: Season 4, Episode 13 :: Into The Wild

Feb 08, 2013

This week on The Vampire Diaries (Season 4, Episode 13) everyone travels to a remote island in search of the vampire cure. See what you missed on Kidzworld’s recap of "Into the Wild," which aired February 7th, 2013.

The Vampire Cure

Shane takes Damon, Elena, Stefan, Rebekah, Bonnie and Jeremy to a remote island off the coast of Nova Scotia in search of the vampire cure. There is tension in the air, partly because Elena and Rebekah rub each other the wrong way, and partly because the island's natives are lurking in the wilderness. One of them kidnaps Jeremy, which leads to the group's ulimate separation.

The Test of Love

The cure is an exciting prospect for all but Damon, who is certain that once Elena is given the cure and is no longer sired to him, she'll stop loving him. Elena insists that this isn't true, and begs him to take the cure along with her. Unfortunately, becoming human isn't Damon's priority.

The Well

Meanwhile, Damon learns more about Professor Shane's motivation behind returning to this island. A year ago, Shane visited a well that allows people to speak to the dead. His late wife told him that in order to bring her and their son back to life, he would need to raise a dark spirit named Silas. But in order to do this, he requires a witch who is descended from the one who trapped Silas - Bonnie - and three sacrifices. He's already made two...who will be the third?

The Good In Klaus

Back in Mystic Falls, Klaus is still trapped. When Tyler gloats about how the cure will take away Klaus's power, making him easier to kill, Klaus retaliates by nearly killing Caroline. Without drinking Klaus's blood, she won't survive. When the end is near, Caroline tells Klaus that she knows he's in love with her, which proves that somewhere inside of him, there is good...there is a human. Proving her right, he saves her life.
