The LEGO NINJAGO Movie Video Game's New Trailer

Earlier in the year, we had our first announcement of The LEGO Ninjago Movie, in the vein of The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie. Seeing as both of those aforementioned movies received video games, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to see The LEGO Ninjago Movie Game getting itself a snazzy new trailer.

Bringing in characters from the upcoming movie, the latest LEGO game shifts its focus onto awesome combat and traversal. Check out the new trailer below!

Here's what the team at Warner Bros/TT Games had to say about the new game!

"In the game, players battle their way through waves of enemies with honor and skill as their favorite ninjas Lloyd, Nya, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane and Master Wu to defend their home island of Ninjago from the evil Lord Garmadon and his Shark Army. To do so, they must master the art of Ninjagility which allows them to traverse Ninjago by wall-running, high-jumping and battling the foes of Ninjago to rank up and upgrade the ninja’s combat skills. Players can harness the power of Spinjitzu combat to defend Ninjago together.

The game features eight large, action-packed locations based on the story of The LEGO NINJAGO Movie. Each location includes its own unique Challenge Dojo where players can put their combat skills to the test and battle with increasingly tougher enemies. And with Battle Maps, players can go up against their friends and family in four different game modes, with competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players."

What is Ninjago?

Maybe you're not familiar with LEGO's Ninjago brand, well then open your eyes and ears and I'll get you up to date. Starting off in 2011, LEGO's new brand focused on the world of ninjas. With a series of LEGO collections, toys, and TV shows they've begun to extensively grow a set of characters. Following the love for both The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie, it seems like our next foray into the LEGO movie-verse will be into that very world, coinciding with the above-mentioned game.

Here's how Warner Bros describes the series:

"In this big-screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu."

The upcoming movie is going to pull together a ton of talent including Dave Franco, Justin Theroux, Michael Peña, Fred Armisen, Kumail Nanjiani, Abbi Jacobson, Zach Woods, Olivia Munn, and Jackie Chan.
