Magic: The Gathering is a hot, collectible card game from Wizards of the Coast that lets you play the part of a dueling wizard. In the card game, you use your cards to battle other wizards by summoning monsters, casting spells and using tricky combos or strategies to win! If you want the 411 on the basics of the Magic: The Gathering card game, click here.

The Scourge card set adds new powers, new cards and more fun to the Magic card game. Here's the 411 on what they do, and how cool they are:

Magic: The Gathering - Scourge Expansion Powers

  • Storm

Like two-for-one deals? How about three or four-for-one? When you unleash a Storm card, you get a free copy of it for each spell that's been cast on the same turn. Storm cards are expensive to cast on their own, but getting multiple effects for one card is sweet when it works. Plus, they're nearly impossible to counter!

1Yeah. I'd give this game a great rating, but I think that kids under 10 would have some difficulty. It's been here for a while and it keeps changing.

I think it's impossible to compare the two... The Wii is great for its local multiplayer--there are countless games that you can play with your family! Nintendo makes a lot of unique games that are exclusive to their consoles... One could argue that their first-party games are better than the Xbox's. The Wii remote takes some getting used to, but when you do, it makes for a very unique way to play! The Xbox 360 is more like a standard console, and that's not a bad thing at all! The Xbox has a simple controller and a better third-party library. Also, the Xbox can handle HD graphics unlike the Wii. I find this console is great for single player games, and for going online to face off against other people from around the world. If I had to choose one over the other, I'd probably choose the Wii, but only for nostalgia and the fact that I've owned my Wii longer. The Xbox is still an incredible console and ranks up there with my other favorites! :)
