Bead Crocheting Is Fun!

The bead-crocheting concept is super-cool. You loop various colors of elastic thread onto a loom and then slowly feed beads onto the thread as you go. Ideally, your beads should end up in a perfect row in the middle of a colored web that will be your bracelet. Unfortunately, with the Make it Fun Bead Crocheting kit, things don't always go your way.

When Bead Crocheting Goes Bad

The Make it Fun Bead Crocheting kit is a great idea... if it worked. Instead of lining up perfectly, the beads tend to bunch up and aren't able to fit through the tiny hole in your crochet loom. Also, because you are working with elastic thread, you constantly have to be pulling it as tight as it will go to get a proper stitch. This isn't the easiest task, cuz elastic has a tendency to bounce back on ya, and then you're back to square one. After trying both stitch options, the end result was a giant, knotty, beaded mess. Not something you'd wanna be seen wearing.

Bead Crocheting Bottom Line

While bead crocheting could be a ton of fun, this kit doesn't quite deliver fashion worthy goods. Maybe once a bigger loom is included in the pack it will be worth your time, but for now, try makin' your own fridge magnets or buttons - it'll be more rewarding.
