Without a Paddle DVD Review

Dec 27, 2006

Matthew Lillard and Seth Green team up again, alongside Dax Shepard, in Paramount's newest flick, Without a Paddle. What happens when you send a bunch of inexperienced, city-dwelling adventure seekers into the vast woods of the Northwest? Find out with Kidzworld's review!

Without a Paddle - The Adventure

A trio of childhood friends decide to head out on one, last, big wilderness adventure after their good friend dies in a paragliding accident - leaving them with a bona fide treasure map that he'd been working on for years. Tom (played by Dax Shepard), Jerry (played by Matthew Lillard) and Dan (played by Set Green) head out ready for adventure, but aren't quite prepared for the craziness that lies ahead of them. The guys run into wild animals, a couple of gun-happy, backwoods farmers and even some tree-hugging hippy chicks. Good times.

Without a Paddle - The Great Outdoors

Without a Paddle is full of great one-liners, crazy characters and action. Whether it's making their way down a white-water river in a beat up canoe, running away from bears or trying to stay warm on a cold, rainy night, these guys make each and every scene hilarious. Seth Green does a great job at playing the paranoid, germaphobic, nerd Dan (would you believe he's even afraid of cellophane?). Everything that can go wrong to poor Dan, does go wrong. And that makes the movie even funnier.

Without a Paddle - Bushman Blunders

This flick is all about slapstick comedy, so there's bound to be a few eye-rolling moments. The guys also get themselves into some pretty unbelievable situations - but for the most part you're too busy laughing to really pay attention to whether or not some of the scenarios would actually happen in real life.

Without a Paddle - DVD Features

Wihtout a Paddle is a hilarious flick, and the DVD features make it even funnier to watch. You'll get to check out 12 additional scenes that didn't make it into the movie that'll have you laughing so hard, you might just cry! Don't forget to listen to the commentary from director Steven Brill and the cast either - it's pretty cool.

Without a Paddle - Bottom Line

If you're looking for a funny movie that you and your buddies can check out and laugh at, then you should definitely go see Without a Paddle. You'll be repeating lines from the movie the second you walk out the theater door!
