Top Ten Movies of 2004

It's the end of the year, which means it's time to look back and remember all the great movies we checked out. Here are Kidzworld's top picks for the Top Ten Movies of 2004!

#10. A Cinderella Story
Rounding out the top ten movies of 2004 is a chick flick, A Cinderella Story. Hilary Duff is the star of this modern-day Cinderella story about an unpopular and unhappy teen who catches the interest of Hollywood hunk, Chad Michael Murray. Just watching Hilary fall in love with her Prince Charming is enough to fall in love with this sweet movie.

#9. Ella Enchanted

Ella Enchanted puts an interesting twist on the old fairy tale classic. Anne Hathaway plays a princess who's been cursed with the gift of obedience, which makes her do anything she's told to do. Unfortunately, when her evil step-sisters find out about the curse, Ella must get her fairy godmother to destroy the curse, or else risk losing the prince she loves.

#8. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

Darkness and despair surround the Baudelaire orphans in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. After losing their parents in a house fire, the three children are sent to live with their distant relative, Count Olaf (played by Jim Carrey). He proves to be sketchy when he tries to kill the orphans and steal away their huge inheritance, causing one misfortune after another for the Baudelaire kids.

#7. Mean Girls

Unlike many cheesy chick flicks, Mean Girls was a hit cuz of it's clever story line, written by SNL's Tina Fey. Lindsay Lohan has been living in the wilds of Africa and enters a regular American school, where she realizes that students are just like wild animals fending for themselves in the jungle - and only the strongest survive! She has trouble fitting in, until she meets The Plastics, the popular clique, which sets off a hilarious series of events.

#6. Spider-Man 2

Comic book superhero, Spider-Man, comes to life for the second time in Spider-Man 2. Tobey Maguire spins a tangled web as he battles the tentacled villain, Doc Ock, and romances Mary Jane, played by Kirsten Dunst. Even if you're not a comic book fan, the awesome special effects definitely make this movie worth checking out.
