Kelly Osbourne and John Stevens CD Reviews

Kelly Osbourne bares her soul on her new disc, Sleeping in the Nothing and former American Idol contestant John Stevens breaks into the music biz with his debut album, Red. Get the goods on these new CDs!

Kelly Osbourne - Sleeping in the Nothing

If Kelly Osbourne's debut album Shut Up didn't knock your socks off, her latest disc just might. Shut Up was recorded to appease her record label, and was made at a time when Kelly was feeling pretty lost. Sleeping in the Nothing digs deep and reveals the real Kelly Osbourne - exploring many of her personal demons. Not only are the beats catchy, the lyrics are meaningful and very personal. A great combination!

Kelly Osbourne - Sleeping in the Nothing Facts

  • Sleeping in the Nothing was recorded while Kelly was in rehab for her addiction to painkillers. She was allowed to leave during the day with a chaperon to record and then would return back to the rehab center.
  • Producer Linda Perry produced and co-wrote on Sleeping in the Nothing. She also worked on Gwen Stefani's solo album, Love.Angel.Music.Baby.
  • The song One Word refers to when all Sharon Osbourne said was Kelly's name and she knew she was being sent to rehab.
  • Sleeping in the Nothing has a real '80s vibe to it - if you're a fan of new-wave, electro-pop, this is a must-have CD.

Kelly Osbourne - Sleeping in the Nothing Rating:

    John Stevens - Red

Former American Idol contestant, John Stevens, is determined to bring back the soul of big band music with his debut album, Red. The disc is full of jazz covers and showcases John's velvety, Sinatra-esque voice. Even if you've convinced yourself that jazz is for oldies like your 'rents, you should give this CD a shot. You may just find yourself tapping your toes and swaying to the music.

I thought it'd be cool for all the anime fans if there was a forum where we could find friends who like the anime we do :) Personally I really need some more friends who like what I do. Maybe you'll find someone who shares your love for something really obscure! Including manga too. To start off here are some favorites of mine: (just because one isn't here doesn't mean I might not like it too so everyone please share yours!) Black Butler D. Gray-Man No.6 Yu-Gi-Oh Seraph of the End Puella Magi Madoka Magica Horimiya Kekkai Sensen Free! Kyoukai no Kanata Tamako Market (especially its movie!!) My Little Monster Mekakucity Actors (and that whole music project that it's based on) Toradora! haven't finished reading/watching but like: (if you like it I'll make it a priority :)) Akagami no Shirayuki-hime Pandora Hearts Kyou Kara Maou Kuroko no Basket Noragami Kiznaiver  Bungou Stray Dogs The World Is Still Beautiful Ajin Haikyuu!! Aldnoah.Zero Princess Tutu That's all I could think of for now! What are yours? Note: No bashing other people's faves! Have debates/flame wars elsewhere. (Especially about Sword Art Online. Let's not even touch that)
